WORLDS 2012 - FUNDRAISING
Preparations for both the Senior Dance and Senior Cheer Team are going well and all members are working extremely hard. We have managed to secure some bag packs to help them fundraise for the trip and would love some help from any stars who are available on the dates below:
21st December – Morrisons Bredbury, SK6 2BR 10-4pm
24th December – Morrisons Chapel en le Frith, SK23 0HZ 11-4pm
Help is required all day from stars on all teams, any times you can do to help these girls out will be much appreciated and remember when you are in the worlds team the younger teams will be helping you raise money.
Please wear black shorts, rising stars tshirt, hair tied back with white bow, white trainers and white socks.
We have found we can also raise funds from collecting used printer cartridges. If you could collect as many as you can from friends/family/workplace and hand them into Audrey that would be great.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
?xml:namespace>
Due to the rapid growth of Cheerleading as a sport and of Rising Stars as a team we are still looking for ways to improve and push the boundaries. Over the last few months we have been looking for a building to hopefully use and build into a specialist cheer gym for all our teams to use and train in on a weekly basis. If you know of a building currently which is big enough and high enough or a sports centre or school which will allow us to keep a permanent sprung floor down please let us know.
COED LEVEL 5 TRAIN MONTHLY TEAM
?xml:namespace>
Tryouts for this team were a glowing success. With 13 boys and 16 girls from across the country trying out to be part of the Rising Stars family. We will keep you updated on their progress as a team and we wish them the best of luck at their first competition at FC in July
SALFORD SPRUNG FLOOR
?xml:namespace>
We have the opportunity to use a sprung floor at Fit City in Salford on a Thurday 8-9pm. Higher level teams have been allocated a week each which they must attend with their team to work on tumbling etc for just £2 per session. Dates for this month are:
Junior Coed and Senior 3 8th Dec
SeniorCoed 15th DEC
Senior All Girl 5 - 29th Dec
Please ensure your child attends their scheduled training. Lifts can be arranged from most areas if you ask. Members of other teams are also welcome to come along and work on tumbling on their own outside their scheduled week if you like.
